• Individuals who require a reclining style wheelchair or gurney, and require the assistance of a care giver for bathing.
• Individuals with high quadriplegic. CP or any medical condition requiring a tilt back shower. 

The Recliner Unit is designed with a double fold -away construction that allows it to open a full 74” in length to accommodate reclining wheelchairs and gurneys.  The units sides have been constructed only 36” high to maximize care giver access to bather.  The unit comes with 15’ hoses ( longer hoses available) to allow complete cleansing of bather.  The shower head can be frame mounted or hand held facilitating entire body cleansing.  Care givers have full access to the bather over the sides of the unit enabling bather assistance without entering the shower themselves.  The unit eliminates waste water as quickly as it is delivered to the unit so there is no need to wait for the unit to drain once the shower is complete.  All units have pumps custom designed to run safely wet or dry and are fitted with special no blockage filters.   

The Recliner shower stall is designed for individuals who require a care attendant for all bathing support.  It is a completely portable, self-contained shower stall, but it is designed for ease of access by the caregiver, and for use with shower/commode style wheelchairs that are fully reclined, or even for gurneys.  Because the Recliner shower accommodates bather transports up to 78” in length, even persons who may be unconscious can be safely bathed.  The Recliner shower is the perfect bathing solution for high quadriplegics, cerebral palsy patients, wounded soldiers awaiting treatment, or even children with disabilities who have become too heavy to be easily or safely lifted into traditional bathing areas.

The size of the Recliner shower is 36” wide by 76” deep, and stands 36” tall.  With this unit, the person to be bathed can be rolled into the shower stall in a recliner style shower/commode style of wheelchair, or a gurney.  Once inside the shower stall, a front support bar is lowered so that the fourth side of the shower pan can be raised and attached for waste water collection.  A front shower curtain may be brought around to ensure water containment all the way around inside the unit.

The source of water for the Recliner shower unit can be any standard sink faucet with the enclosed universal connector, or even a solar heated water bag.  The drain hose from the pump can go straight to sink drain, or in the case of hazardous materials containment, the waste water hose can go directly into a containment unit.
